2. Garden

Since 2003 the Harvest Moon Society has developed a three-acre permaculture demonstration site outside the Learning Centre. The site now contains a circular garden sometimes referred to as the “secret garden” with raised beds, a chicken moat and a double fence to keep the deer out. The HMS has also grown small food forest installations, built a greenhouse to extend the growing season and an adobe oven. An intern is hired each year to maintain the garden and site during the growing season.
